Name: Brother Mike on Thanksgiving
From: Feast of Harvest Ingathering
Hi Jay

I really do understand how you feel. I do not believe God wants you to dishonor your Mother and Father, however you must be willing to forsake your entire family and all of your worldly possessions so that you can stand in HIS presents.

People told me for years if I really loved my Mom and Dad I would do anything they tell me. Well my Mom gave me pot to smoke at 12 years and I honored her wishes.

Shall I go on?

See my dilemma?

So if our parents are deceived to the point of worshiping the doctor feel good god should we do what they say is right?

When it is wrong?

Here is the Bible Thanksgiving

Exodus 23:16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

It is in connection with the Feast of Tabernacles and this eighth day that the gospel of John records a fascinating event. John wrote: "In the last day (eighth day), that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,

"If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water" (John 7:37-38).

The Son of God was saying in the clearest possible way that He alone was the source of life and blessing; that He could meet every need of the human heart.

This is what Jesus did on this fall ingathering feast called THANKSGIVING? No.

"Feast of Tabernacles"

Gregorian Calendar October 15-23

Happy Ingathering. God Bless

I grew up on the King James,so all the thee's and thou's really don't get in my way.

This holiday involves no partying for me. That is what kept getting me into trouble.

If I never drink another beer,I know I drank a river of it.

Among other things. This holiday is a time of gathering. I feel that's important.Especially when things look as bad as they do now.

I guess it would be easier for me to shovel my way to china than to change your opinion of it all........but that's good because we both have had the opperunity to look at the other's side of things.

Name: Delayed Judgment
From: Other gods
Gen 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Exodus 18:11 Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods:

Deut 13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

God has not changed on this thought only delaying for a time.

Deut 13:13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

The whole world loves XMAS and is serving these other gods of the OLD Testament.

Isa 37:18 Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries.
19 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.
20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.

Jer 2:11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

The United States is worse than in this passage.

Now this is the spirit of Xmas in the USA.

Jer 7:9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?

Xmas and all of the other unholiday of the USA are in service to other gods, mainly the gods of reveling/partying/excess.

PS come out come out wherever you are "from among them"

Okay here is what the KING JAMES SAYS word for word.

This word (wise men)MAGOS in the King James strongs concordance

3097. magos, mag'-os; of for. or. [H7248]; a Magian, i.e. Oriental scientist; by impl. a magician:--sorcerer, wise man.

All of the other words in THE KING JAMES ONLY for a wise men are different.

If you take ONLY the King James version I can respect that to a point, that is as long as you can actually read Old English, which most people can not do very well.

Like I said if you are taking ONLY THE KING JAMES VERSION or account as the only right version or best one, fine.

It is my favorite too.

However taking this versions accond tells us that these magos "wise men" were also the same as the wise men who Moses confronted back in Egypt.

Let My people go Moses said and out came Pharaoh with his "wise men" and out came the snakes, "Remember"???

In both cases the word for wise men is "Sorcerer/magic man" in THE KING JAMES ONLY account.

Other places in THE KING JAMES VERSION the word "wise men" means intelligent/cunning/art full"

So going back the the KING JAMES VERSION once again we see that

#1. all of Jerusalem was upset about this prophecy and the star

#2 Herod ruled Jerusalem not the JEWS so all of the ruling body in Herod's Kingdom were troubled.

#3 Here comes stargazing sorcerers from the east to Jerusalem

#4 Now here comes the magic men who are joyful about finding the star over Jesus.

#5 These men from the eastern countries were warned not to help Herod by showing where Jesus was born.

#6 So these sorcerers were able to see in the spirit more than most men yes, realizing this prophecy was coming about.

#7 Sorcerer are in touch with spirits and these spirits drew these eastern mystics generally on their way out of curiosity.

#8 Clearly Herod was trying to use these Sorcerers to locate Jesus so he (Herod) could destroy Jesus.

#9 The sorcerers were in agreement that they would be more than willing to show Herod, Jesus birth place until God himself steeped into their dreams.

#10 The sorcerers were well aware of the tittle that a KING OF THE JEWS was coming and that Herod or any leaders interest in the matter would only be one of "who is the boss"

#11 The wise men were sorcerers who were the only men spiritually able to know something powerful was happening.

#12 the sorcerers were like a red flag going up to signal something took place according to Prophecy, but this does not now make sorcerers HOLY God fearing men like THE MODERM DAY cHurches(Out of wOod) teach.

#13 They might have been all nice men who were sorcerers by occupation to a natural man, however God says HE hates witchcraft.

#14 Therefore putting yourself in the place of these sorcerers as if to worship God' Son Jesus on a Pagan day, is not a proper usage of GOD's intentions or Word as recorded in the KING JAMES BIBLE.

#15 Patterning oneself after the actions of sorcerers for a basis to worshiping Christ around XMAS is faulty reasoning.

#16 Jesus said that as often as ye drink this cup ye do show the Lord's DEATH til he comes, his birth was kept a secret intentionally.

#17 The KING JAMES clearly teaches us that sorcerer and witchcraft is unacceptable to GOD, so therefore so were the gifts given by these sorcerers.

#18 The only significance of the eastern mystics was that God has power to use these magicians to make everyone aware of what was taking place and still push them away so they could not be a tool to destroy GOOD.

#19 Sorcerery tries to meddle in everyone's affairs hoping to manipulate those individuals, Yet God is able to puppet these unholy spiritual men to suit HIS purpose.

#20 God over all and in all thing working HIS purpose. It doesn't make these sorcerers HOLY.

ok.....first,I know exactly what muslims are like. I'm a vet. They are not nice people.Period.

I believe you're reading more into these wise men than the writer of that book intended.

I tend to take the King James word for word as gospel.

It's just not saying that these wise men were evil.

I'm even reading into the apocrypha and not finding it.

Like I said before, I don't take such things personally. I still disagree with you on this issue though.

Hey Jay

You should hear yourself. Reading it properly like this:
"But the king James says nothing of the intentions of the Iranian Sorcerers"

These guys were stargazing mystics. The purpose of a Sorcerer is clear in scripture.

Witchcraft is not Okay stuff.

Some reading of the Bible will back up this view.

For many thousands of years the gentile nations have been well aware of God's power working through the Israelite's.

These warlocks were not wise in the sense that they were now standing in awe of the possibility of a baby being born KING OF THE JEWS.

Their Job as good Iranian Sorcerers had always been to defend their religion/country against the Jews.

They were run off by GOD himself in a dream.

These warlocks responded in fear and why?

Why if their intentions were so pure did God run them poor Sorcerers away.

Durrrrrrr? let me think.

Get a grip guys, on the truth here.

No they were not good Iranian Sorcerers.

Now is this clear thinking or shall I go with the religious presentation that these guys were Holy Men ya know wise good men?

You got to be kidding, trying to get be to think that.

The Jews were being watched and controlled on every side then, before, then and now.

That is because the record shows that GOD Almighty is, has and will work through this race of people in miraculous ways.

All of the gentile nations through out history had witnessed this POWER of GOD.

Wise men they were having only this world's wisdom
and as good Iranian Sorcerers they returned to their country and reported their mission status to their religious heads.

These warlocks knew full well that King Herod was not pleased with the idea that the Jews might get another King to take Herod's place.

How stupid do you think these WISE MEN were?

Yes......But the king james says nothing of the intentions of the wise men except their mission to worship the new savior. According to what I'm reading, if they were involved in some plan to kill Jesus, they themselves were unaware of it. Guilt by association maybe, but definately not guilty of knowing it.

The wise men were from Persia. Persia is headed up by Iran.

Arabia is the Persian empire.

Ahura Mazda, the Iranian sky god, the Wise Lord or Lord Wisdom, and god of order, depicted as a bearded man on a winged disk, was the principal god of the ancient Zoroastrians. Ahura Mazda's chief rival is Angra Mainyu (Ahrimen), creator of evil. Daevas are other followers of evil.

Ahura Mazda is the creator of sky, water, earth, plants, animals, and fire. He upholds asa (rightness, truth). Persian Kings believed Ahura Mazda to be their special protector and equated him with Zeus

The wise men did not worship Israel's God.

Nor did King Herod.

These people have always wanted the Jews exterminated.

Name: King of the Jews
From: Jerusalem troubled
Matt 2:2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief p*** and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

The local oriental witch doctors knew about the prophecy of this child and saw the star wanting to see this mystical phenomenon.

When these eastern sorcerers questioned those in the area where the star appeared according to the scriptures, Herod has these MAGICIANS brought to him privately because basically these eastern mystics had to check in with the King about the whole first off.

So Herod send them on to where it was known that the Christ should be born.

Keep in mind these men are pagans, both Magi and King Herod.

Their concerns were not pure in the sense that they were going to convert to the Jewish faith.
