Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Acts 16:13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Acts 18:21 But (Paul)bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

Paul and the early Christian Church kept the Sabbath day rest and the feast days.

Just like we have been conditioned to keep Sun Day worship and American festivals, they kept the real ones.

The Catholic Church states that they had the power to changed the Sabbath to SUN DAY worship and did.

It is not going to save you OKAY by keeping the Law. You are saved by grace.

"Grace is undeserving favor" so you are saved because God has shown you favor even though you are no better than the worst homosexual or Whoredog.

However if you have been deceived, wouldn't you want to know?

Do you want to know the biggest reason why I know we all have been deceived on the things or truths of GOD??????

That's easy. Because God calls this religious system MYSTERY BABYLON.

Religious Confusion is what God pronounce for your time.

Only a few, like David killing the giant Only God's few/little flock/ His treasure will succeed the Kindom.

You and I had better rethink what we were taught from the MOTHER OF HARLOTS MYSTERY BABYLON.

That we receive not of her plagues.

Rev 18:Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

"iniquities" LAWLESS same word.

This mystery Babylon has many I.D. Marks to show you that she is a religious corporation that buys and sells the souls of men.

Or you could say it like this:

She tells men what they want to hear in terms sinful behavior, charging a fee to keep them in right standing with God.

This is what false religion does. You will not get the truth there.

No Christian. Why did you think that?

There is no organized religion on earth that follows the ways of God as found in scripture.

The easy way to find out is see who commands the TITHE. They serve money.

I want everyone to know that the scripture does not translate doing good works in to giving big money.

So many have been conditioned to think they can give money and that is all that is required for good works.

First of all giving money shows kindness if it actually gets to someone who is in need and not for some false leader who thinks he needs a limo or Lincoln continental/big fancy estate etc.........

Other than that giving anything qualifies.

Giving up the worldly comforts of having everyone agreeing with you and making no waves at the expense of God's Holy Standards.

You can not have it both ways.

Side with the ways of God and you will be a reject to this worlds inhabitants.

Remember whom He predestines He will do what must be done to get you on track.

This submission can be done easily or He can do it the hard way, it's up to you.

You will conform to the Laws of the House.

One way or another or You will be found a liar.

Now on the other hand, "Jesus loves you" so why would you want to insult His integrity by ignoring HIS fulfilled LAWS of The House Of God????

Come befor3e the Lord you males 3 times a year and don't come empty handed. These are the feasts of GOD.

Like Paul said decades after Christ ascension

1Cor 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Don't you see the difference?

2 Tim 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1Cor 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The scriptures are full of the Law of God's Judgments delivered to a sinful nation at the mouth of the Prophets, whom they kill.

You want to be proven perfect? And you want to toss out the Law that shows us the mind of God?

A person must have works. You can not go around saying you believe and just leave it at that, because the devils do that.

1 Tim 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

That is something a person must DO. These are GOOD WORKS. This is the proof or your words of believing are empty or vain-Oh vain man.

Jesus said this about sinning against one another in God's House (Law of the House)

Matt 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.

Due process of Law. Either you follow the Law of The House Of God or be cast out as the unprofitable servant was.

Whose house are we talking about?"

Hi Brian let me show you what I mean. Yes you are right about being saved by grace not Law. The Law shows us and showed us, was against us and is against us to show us what sin is or was, no changes there.

In other words we were saved by grace not law, however in this passage you will see a person who claims he is inside the house(God's House)saved by grace required to do something he does not do so he is found to be a liar and cast out of the saints circles.

This passage is the LAW. Sure the Law won't save you, but stop following it and it danms you just as it always has and will continue to do so.

Here they are.........

Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

More Law first

Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Yes he is saying he is a Christian but does not obey the LAW of THE HOUSE. God's House and is cast out.

2 thes 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

The Law once again

2 Pet 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

James 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;

All of these verse demand works to the point a person will be cast out of God's House because they have proven that they have no intention of keeping the rules of the House.

Thanks for asking Brian

From: Works, Zeal and LAW
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Now this is what I teach so if you don't want to follow the rules of the house (Law) then, you are not part of the house.

Grace gives us many chances to overcome sin. First repent and turn from these sins.

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

No we are not UNDER THE LAW, But we who are God's Love HIS unchanging LAW.

From: Christian donnybrook?
Wow,quite a Christian donnybrook I've happed upon!,my name is Brian and I hope you will welcome me in all Christian charity, firstly I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I send you all best wishes this Christmas season.

Here are my questions and concerns and keep in mind i am a fairly new believer and new here so I ask for your patience with me and I fully understand that there are many ideas or convictions that the follower of Christ with a love for him will invent or carry out what other men impose on them and through this desire to please God fails to understand that they are freely Justified,Sanctified and Glorified by HIS Grace and power,my concerns here is that there are some well meaning followers of Christ who are in bondage to the law, which to us is ONLY a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ,IF a person is truly Born Again by God there will be a freedom to live in piety not the law and not in bondage to the law.

Romans 8:15
"For ye have not recieved the spirit of bondage again to fear;but ye have recieved the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry,Abba,Father.

We are FREE praise God!,we need not fear God as a hard taskmaster as he would for the non-elect for judgement unto damnation, but he's our Dad as well as Almighty Sovereign Lord.

How about this passage legalism of which all of you would agree is a corruption of the Word of God and also you would agree "for we are not as many which corrupt the Word of God,but as of sincerity..." 2 Corinthinas 2:17a

The corruption lies in the anathemic heresies of the Judaisers of Galatians and that same spirit continues today that say that Christ is not good enought to get a person to heaven, that His blood is not sufficient to save a sinner completely and entirely, damnable heresies these are as they were in Peter's day (2 Peter 2)

let's reason together on this:Colossians 2:8-17

8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ

The Word speaks for itself we can abide in it or twist it to our own destuction,I trust that God has placed us in the former camp. It's either the your keeping the law perfectly or Grace,I trust you gentlemen do as well

one of the posters earlier, showed the Words from Galatians 5:3-5,Galatians 3:2-5'Galatians 3:10-11.I agree with his choice of scripture. The entire 3rd chapter of Galatians unqestionably refutes the "doctrine of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1-5)see that chapter and the entire panoply of scripture and it cannot be found that we are saved by keeping the law which we cant we are saved by Christ-"Author and Finisher of our Faith"-Predestination,Justification,Sanctification,Glorification-all His,

"For of Him,and through Him,and to Him,are all things to whom be Glory forever.Amen" Romans 11:36

Blessings to you all

From: Sanctification,Justification

Sanctification cannot exist without justification, "for the heart of sanctification is the life which feeds on justification." — Berkouwer, op. cit, p.93. And justification cannot exist without sanctification any more than light can exist without heat.

Justification and sanctification must be seen as two parallel lines which cannot meet this side of glory. Justification looks back to the finished work of God in Jesus Christ and declares, ". . . ye are complete . . ." (Col. 2:10); sanctification points us away to the return of Christ and says, "Not . . . already perfect. . ." Phil. 3:12. Justification pronounces us already pure (1 John 1:9); sanctification commands us to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit (2 Cor. 7:1). Justification clothes us in Christ's victory (John 16:33); sanctification means pressing on to overcome (Rev. 3:21). Justification tells us that the battle is won (Is. 40:2); sanctification nerves us on to "fight the good fight of faith." 1 Tim. 6:12. Justification is resting in God's completed work (Matt. 11:28; Heb. 4:1-10); sanctification is pressing on toward the mark (Phil. 3:14). Here is the paradox of being and seeking to become; of being righteous by faith and sinful in nature; of "possessing all things," yet "having nothing." 2 Cor. 6:10.

Why does and why must this paradox between justification and sanctification exist? It exists because of the separation of the two advents of Christ. At His first coming He redeemed us, perfected us, and gave us life and immortality (Heb. 9:12; 10:14; 2 Tim. 1:10). At His second coming He brings us these blessings to enjoy as empirical realities (Eph. 1:14; 1 John 3:3; Heb. 11:40; Col. 3:4; 1 Cor. 15:50-56). The first advent was inaugurated eschatology — for in Christ the last things have already taken place. The second advent is consummated eschatology — for then God will openly disclose what Christ has already done. The decisive victory has already taken place (first advent), and Christ is seated at God's right hand "expecting till His enemies be made His footstool." Heb. 10:13. Then that victory will be disclosed to the view of all. In "the times between" we must live by faith—knowing that we are righteous, yet still seeking to become righteous; believing that death has been destroyed, yet waiting for the sight of death to disappear; confessing that our sins have been put away, yet anxious that we feel sin no more.

It is from this separation of these two advents — Christ has come, and Christ will come — that we have the paradoxical relationship between justification and sanctification. And because we must relate the "now" and the "not yet," we must live in the tension of having and not having.

It is not in vain that the apostles frequently exhort us to faith and patient waiting in "the times between." Church history has proved that human nature wants to solve the paradox "here and now" instead of waiting for the "there and then." Antinomianism tries to destroy the tension by settling for justification and throwing out the absolute necessity of the inward process of sanctification. Perfectionism tries to destroy the tension by getting beyond forgiveness and establishing a relationship with God on the basis of sanctification. Either way, human nature wants to reduce the two parallel lines of justification and sanctification to one line this side of eternity. But this cannot be done without heresy. As a train needs twin tracks and must operate on both, so it is with a sound soteriology. And just as a train cannot jump one rail without jumping both, so it is with justification and sanctification.

If one protests that he is not comfortable living with this paradox and this tension, then we must remind him that he is not supposed to be. Life is not fulfilled in the historical process. Here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come. We dwell in tents with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, being heirs with them of the same promise. When faith becomes sight and grace is lost in glory, sanctification will be consummated, and forgiveness of sins will be no more. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

I have failed to measure up completely yes but I can not stop obeying these commands given for HOLY living.

I follow and LOVE the 10 commandments and they were never evil then not are they empty words from the mouth of GOD today.

You will sin and fail Nick I understand but don't throw out the Law or out the towel just yet.

For those of you do not understand this expression (Throwing in the towel) the towel was thrown into the fighting ring to show a fighter has given up.

War against fleshly lust, fail you will but Christ is our forgiveness. Warring is good for you, it teaches us our insufficiency.

Hold on to the standards of GOD the word of God that is the LAW of GOD. It teaches us the difference from clean and unclean, between Holy and unholy.

The Law is Perfect converting the soul.
