I think Brian you miss the point that these are ism's, calvin-ism.

I do not like these lying doctrines anymore than I like the Baptist doctrines.

The point is no organization/corporate/501c3 is right with the scriptures.

The name of that game is MONEY.

They each create another set of rules to follow that can only be something you learn from THEIR preacher at THEIR wOoden cHurch and THEN you will not be in darkness.

They are all alike in this respect.

So no I do not love Calvinism.

Mike said "good going Nick",I agree wholeheartedly!

and I would agree Mike, that is exactly what the body of Christ need's is THE TRUTH!,the gentleman Nick quoted nailed it.

What John Calvin the EX-Catholic did was expose the harlotry that Mike rightly nailed in an earlier post

I'm with you guys on the five points of Calvinism being the true Biblical view and a progressive view of santification, salvation by Grace, through faith,by Christ alone, praise God for His indescribable gift!

Good going guys!
Peace to you

From: Year 2000 Lie
Here is a sound bite of Ralph stair saying Jesus is coming by the year 2000.http://www.thenetteam.net/yr2000lie.mp3

Just for the record many people asked me if I thought that as well and asked me and I just told them "I don't know" Those who asked me in kindness were the Bible study brothers.

When I said I didn't know one bro sort of scolded me for not going along with Ralph, so I told him that we are going to need to see the mark on people so only they can buy and sell.

Next I said to this brother who didn't like my reply was, we are going to need to see a ONE WORLD ORDER first and so on.

The brother just shook his head at me as if I had sin against the HOLY SPIRIT.

Anyways here is Ralph saying as THE PROPHET OF THE LIVING GOD(Only in his mind) that Jesus is coming.

These and other declarations, put Ralph Stair into the category of a PROPHET who must experience the death of his false ministry.

Everywhere around the world Ralph's actions were reported as he was arrested.

Some one has the sound file that ralph is going to tell God to go to hell also, if God doesn't come by the year 2000.

Oh yeah Stair tried to wiggle out of this announcement saying he only meant a major move by the year 2000, but this sound bite proves once again Ralph Stair is a Lying Prophet of Baal.

Over 1000 years later, John Calvin, an ex-Catholic, revived this teaching which had been forgotten since the death of Augustine. It is from Calvin that the teaching received its name, Calvinism.

Augustine, the father of "Gospel-driven sanctification", also taught that infant baptism was necessary in order to go to Heaven.

He taught that a person could have genuine regeneration, genuine piety, and even genuine faith, but without membership in the Catholic Church, these would avail him nothing and he would go to Hell.

He is also responsible for the teaching of sinless perfection. Many of the errors in the Catholic Church today can be traced to the writings of Augustine.

The USA gobbles this trash down like their is no tomorrow.

Lying Doctrines of Devils.

Good going Nick

Here's a quote I read, it seems to fit the stream of thought here.

"Gospel-driven sanctification"

"The first thing to remember, of course, is that we must never separate the benefits (regeneration, justification, sanctification) from the Benefactor (Jesus Christ).

The christians who are focused on their own spirituality may give the impression of being the most spiritual...but from the New Testament's point of view, those who have almost forgotten about their own spirituality because their focus is so exclusively on Jesus Christ and what He has accomplished are those who are growing and exhibiting fruitfulness.

Historically speaking, whenever the piety of a particular group is focused on OUR spirituality, that piety will eventually exhaust itself on it's own resources.

Only where our piety forgets about ourself and focuses on Jesus Christ will our piety nourished by the ongoing resources the Spirit brings to us from the source of all true piety, our Lord Jesus Christ."

Sinclair Ferguson

He states, and I agree, that it is the gospel that drives our piety and sanctification. "...Both to will and to do, according to His good pleasure." Christ has stated"...I will not leave you orphans, but I will send another..."
This "another" is the guarrantee of God that He will finish what He started. It's when we take our eyes off ourselves and even what we might accomplish through Him that we really start to bear fruit. Martin Luther gave a daily dose of the gospel to his congregation daily because he knew their need of it. Even though they complained that all they hear is the gospel, Luther was wise enough to know that it's the gospel that truely transforms and keeps right on transforming.

From: Perfect Law of Liberty
Of course Gay life styles and living in fornication are only two crimes against Gods Laws.

All of the other so called little sins like going to an unholy atmosphere at bars and night clubs with the excuse there is no where else to meet people.

Or how about women leaving their children at home working two jobs and maybe the DAD is taking the MOM role?

Or people remarrying because they wanted something else and God understands.

Disorder or LAWLESS behavior is excepted as normal.

I could go on for almost ever with this long list of things"Christ-Like" people do against the LAW of God and then say it doesn't matter.

The Law of God is very clear on how we are to live as a family unit in this present evil world.

Living by faith and following the perfect LAW that brings liberty , freedom from the bondage of enslavement brought on by LAWLESS actions.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

From: Fruitful Works?
Romans 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Jude 1:12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

From: Works?
Yes Brian

What you are saying it right that faith first, then works should follow, right.

When I use the word MUST, I am reflecting on all of the empty words of so many who SAY that they have experienced the regeneration of the new birth in Christ with no fruit to show this in their daily lives.

In fact many are gays and fornicators so in this setting I will say to those individuals that they MUST have more than just a one liner come back that they have done their beads or prayed a prayer.

No they MUST have more evidence that this, it is called fruit.

Yes the process is that they are born again first and them their works will follow them. These works MAY not come right away but they are what makes faith LIVE and these works MUST manifest.

Semantics.

One other way to put it is that a person can not just say and then DO nothing.

Matt 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

So when works of Holiness are not present then Must be something wrong.

2 Cor 8:11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

Works must follow faith is what I want to say, or that faith is worthlessly dead.

From: Works A Must?
Hi Mike

Mike said:
Faith must be followed by works or it is dead.

Can you help me understand why works is a necessary condition for faith,in your opinion,or is Christ's atoning work not sufficient to save anyone?

The scripture says: (One of many)

James 2:26 (KJV) "For as the body without the spirit is dead,so faith without works is dead"

As any true follower of Christ would agree, that works are consequent of regeneration, and that without a changed life their is no evidence of salvation and no warrant to believe the person in question is actually a Christian.

Mike,I'm not "splitting hairs" on this you say:
"Faith MUST be followed by works or it is dead"

My issue, and the scriptures issue with this is the requirement "MUST" you have inserted, this is "putting the cart before the horse" so to speak,God does not require what HE provides,He gives the new heart in His justifying Grace, and the believer will desire to live a life of piety (holiness)as a consequence of the new birth (regeneration)

Please read this:

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (KJV)
A new heart also will I give you,and a new spirit will I put within you:and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.and I WILL put my spirit within you,and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them"
(emphasis mine)

God IS the causitive agent, giving the believer to Desire to live a sanctified, holy life.

BUT,if the believer feels HE "MUST" (as you said)do something the act of loving obedience is no longer love but unwilling slavery as opposed to being a willing bondslave,as any Christian would want to be.

Yes,as the Word say "Faith WITHOUT works is dead" NOT

"Faith MUST be followed by works or it is dead"

exegesis, not isegesis has to be the only method towards a consistent and truthful Biblical hermenutic
