Strong's Concordance definition G1859; to observe a festival:--keep the feast.

1 Cor 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

Hello Net Team Christians

This is a New Testament passage where th APOSTLE PAUL is exorting Jewish and Gentile Christians to KEEP THE FEAST DAYS (Not Xmas easter etc.....)

You can see how Paul taught to keep these days also, only in a spiritual sense.

Not to be saved, but as a remembrance of THE PASSOVER LAMB (Jesus) nothing more.

Christians should eventually get their focus off of the Catholic hOlidays of Lent,Xmas,Easter, all saints days, etc.........

And onto God's HOLYDAYS with HIS Sabbath's.

Do not follow anyone else on this subject.

Only do what God is telling YOU to do as far as making this transition out of the PAGAN superstructure of our day and into God's marvelous light.

God is Light, Jesus is God, Jesus is the full measure of the Law. The Law is Holy because Jesus/God/is one and God IS the Law.

That is why the Law is Holy.

Maybe each of us have heard this expression concerning the military man out in the field?
Out is the Military Zones the soldier IS THE LAW.

So I repeat GOD IS THE LAW! He and HIS word is the force of the Law.

The Law is not all gone. Just like God is not all gone.

God sent his Son because HE wants us to have the best so remember this always and continue on now to find the TRUTH that the Prince of the air has been hiding from us in the form of false religious systems around the planet.

ThanksGiving Started when the invading army's of North America killed a large group of the Indians.
There were on going thanksgiving feasts that were held over a lond period of time until Washington Nationalized ONE DAY instead of Many Many.

So ThanksGiving is Not a Godly Day nor is it found in the Bible.

In just 60 some day Americans honor the Pagan days of Halloween,ThanKsKilling,Xmas Lies and the Pagan New Year.

Nothing to do with God. We have been taught the ways of the Heathen.

We are polluted through these traditions.

"Come out from amoung them"
Ps Come on little flock you can do it. Not without persecution. You will be spoken Ill of.

Controversy rages concerning what the Scriptures say. The over-all majority of Christianity proclaims that the law is done away, upholding the writings of Paul as the foundation of their proof. There are some smaller Christian groups, Orthodox Judaism and Yahwists who proclaim the exact opposite, using both Old and New Testament Scriptures as their authority. Many in the latter groups reach the point of extreme Pharisaism, fulfilling the law to the letter. Many in the former group have an "anything goes" attitude. Why all the confusion? What do the Scriptures really say?

From: Hello Russ Kelly
Mike: I grew up a Baptist and they teach this. The Law is done away with, they said.

Russ: Baptists are split on this. Most teach that the Law of Ten Commandments is still valid. Dispensational Baptists like me disagree. The Old Covenant Law never applied to Gentiles or the Church and it ended at Calvary. It was replaced by the New Covenant Law.

Mike: How can Paul tell us that the law is holy and that we are to follow the law to Christ and then say not to use it? Paul says over and over again that the law is Good, the Law is Holy.

Russ: You are referring to Romans 7.

1. Paul begins by saying:

Rom 7:4 “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.”

Mike: We are dead to what the effects of violating that law brings which is being condemned to death because Christ took our place, but the law whether on paper or in our hearts and conscience is what keeps telling us right from wrong. Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
The Law giving priest or teaching p*** job was and is to show the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, clean living practices or unclean to the those desiring a pure walk to Holiness.

The new priest hood requires us to measure up to all of God's Holy standards with continued repeated forgiven for our faultering walk without the consequences of death, but without that Holiness no man shall see the Lord as per Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Russ: 2. Paul ends by saying:

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Mike: Shall we sin then anyway so that grace may abound? So many take this verse to mean that because as stated we are free from the punishment of death that sin brings that we do not need to follow any good rules or regulations that even the heathens use today.

Russ:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

3. The key here is that the word “law” means “principle.”

Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

4. I have asked you about 5 times to define law. Like almost everybody else, you throw the word around everywhere and have no consistent definition of the word you are using. If you cannot agree with me here, then we must drop this discussion.

Mike:I am not sure what to say here. The Law is like the scripture says a principle for learning right and wrong. Many other things some I have been listings.

5. Law: The principle of God’s revelation of His will.

Law to Hebrews: The entire Old Covenant and prophets.

Law to Gentiles before Calvary: conscience and nature per Romans 1:19-20 and 2:14-16 and John 1:9.

Law to Christians: Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

6. In other words, the context (which changes often) controls Paul’s use of the word “law.” In Romans 3:10-18 it is Isaiah and Psalms.

Mike: We are not to kill is common sense so yes Paul is right that the Law was only the beginners handbook to lead us to a better way,

that was basically redundant since that even the Gentiles knew without the Law the right and wrong of the LAW. They were a Law unto themselves.

Russ: The whole law was a tutor UNTIL Christ per Galatians 3:19. It had an ending point.

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.”

Mike: The Law brings the knowledge of sin and will always do so this is common sense. With that knowledge we are to run to Christ which is our righteousness.

Russ: The Old Covenant INCLUDED the Ten Commandments as “Thou shalt nots.”

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Mike:Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

We can not forget the way to him is the acknowledge our sin by the LAW.

Russ: The “law” or “revealed will of God” for Gentiles was the indwelling conscience and nature per Rom 1:18-20 and 2:14-16.

Thanks Russ I really enjoy our sword sharpening exchanges.

Hey Jay great observations.

This is a classic of the Blind leading the Blind.

The pAstors are voted in by the baby cHurch members and given a piece of the pot.

As the year goes by it becomes like a gambling roulette table trying to mix Bible standards with fleshly lifestyles well enough to win as much confidence, measured in dollars and cents.

This is somewhat like the stock market as well.

If you have peoples confidence you have everthing they own at your disposal.

Money is the goal even if the leaders do not see this.

Any man desiring to lead the flock in the Father role can not be voted in or he will be voted right back out again when the baby members get scolded.

That preacher had better talk right or he is gone.

I can understand your point. I'm just talking about what should happen if the pastor is an honest man.

Even that view has a bad side. When a pastor is viewed as being only subservient to God himself, which happens alot with evangelicals, People will want his input on everything in their lives.

A couple of years of that and people lose the ability to think for themselves.

I have seen it time and time again.

When things go wrong and it's time to move on, they have no idea what to do.

I have see people leave the church, myself included, and just dive right into the opposite way they lived.

You slowly begin to think for yourself again.

Sometimes.

Then it takes a while to believe again.

Glad I got a rise out of you gentlemen.

I wonder sometimes who's listening and what they think.

Anyway the Father's take care of the children.

This has nothing to do with our physical/natural/fleshly/bodily time frame/scale in days of the year.

This has to do with how long an individual has been seeking the spirit of GOD!

Say you have turned to the Lord and then back to the world again.

Maybe a person has lived for God on and off for 10 years.

Now just remember how a 10 year old responses.

I know little children who are in their 60-70's who have started doing the right thing, needing direction.

The main thing is that there are no big cheese Fathers as seen in the flesh or Big Bad Lord's over the slaves in Gods setup.

You and I are free from that bondage.

Paul never suggested that he was an intercessor as we see with the Catholic leaders or fathers.

The role of Fathers are something completely different.

A Father who loves his children (By example now) do not leech money from their sons so he doesn't have to go out and make their own way.

No a Father helps the Son in every way, not just at prayer time, making a big show out of what might look real HOLY.

Gimme a massive break here.
